Arkansas learns act information

Christ the King Catholic School has been approved by the Arkansas Department of Education to receive funds through the LEARNS Act / Education Freedom Account (EFA) program. This initiative enables eligible students to use state funds towards private school tuition.

Who is eligible?

For the 2024-2025 school year, eligible students who have at least one parent who is a resident of Arkansas and meet one of the following criteria:

  • Students enrolling in kindergarten and 1st grade for the first time.

  • Students with disabilities under IDEA. A medical diagnosis form, provided by ADE, is required to be completed and signed by a qualified professional.

  • Students who were previously enrolled in the Succeed Scholarship Program.

  • Students of active-duty, veterans, and military reservists.

  • Students of law enforcement officers and first responders (firefighters and emergency medical officials).

  • Current or former foster care children.

  • Students who in the previous year were enrolled in a “D”-rated or “F”-rated school.

  • Students experiencing homelessness.

  • Current EFA students will remain eligible for year two.

How to apply.

Your child has to be enrolled in Christ the King Catholic School to apply for EFA funds. Once your child has been accepted into Christ the King School, we will let you know when the portal is open for accepting new applications. Student eligibility to receive EFA funds will be determined by the Arkansas Department of Education. You could be eligible to receive funds up to $7,208 to be used toward tuition.
